Itsy Bitsy Tunes classes are at Galaxie Chicago!! Each 45 minute class combines sing along songs, finger play songs, movement and dance, play, instruments, color scarves, parachute, fun props or toys, and bubbles. The classes are engaging, educational, and loads of fun for children and adults! Classes are taught by former Wiggleworms, Happy Child, and Bubbles Academy instructor, Zilah Joslin.

Youth & Family Tap (4-10 years olds)

Youth and Family Tap is a high - energy, introductory class designed for children who love rhythm and dancing, and parents/ grandparents who want to experience it with them.
***Parents/grandparents are not required to participate, but rather given the option of joining in for the session.
Each student will learn that being a tap student means they are representative of two disciplines:half dancer/ half musician. Emphasis will be placed on coordination and repetition of simple tap steps and rhythms; and we will evolve as an ensemble into more challenging scenarios. As they build their tap vocabulary and muscle-memory, they will begin to explore how movement and music fit hand-in-hand and form recognizable partnerships. This fun, high-energy tap class is designed to get kids moving, singing, and playing in rhythm. Each class will begin with a warm-up; students can look forward to memory games, improvisation, fun combinations, and getting their feet tapping! They will begin building their own tap dictionary the first day of class that will grow throughout the session. Parents and students can work together and practice at home with their new tap dance flash cards! At the end of the session, each student will be competent in basic tap skills, able to perform short routines, demonstrate steps individually, and continuing a stronger understanding of tap dance’s imperative relationship to music. Please wear comfortable clothing with foot and ankle visibility!  Tap shoes a must!!!

Yoga with your child

Parents will learn how to spend quality time with their children relaxing and stretching together in the ancient art of yoga. This class promises to teach tools you can take away and start using right away in your family life.

Families cultivate healthy habits and attitudes to take home. The class integrates yoga poses, games breathing meditations, and music to create a playground for growth and learning as a family.
Please bring along yoga mats or towels to practice on.
